Accor, a Paris-based hotel conglomerate, plans to launch a superyacht division of the Orient Express brand in 2026 with the 722-foot Orient Express Silenseas. The company is also working on Orient Express hotels in Rome and Venice, and a train offering in 2024. Both hotels are set to open in Italy next year. The expansion of the brand into cruises will put Accor in competition with Marriott's Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. CEO Sebastien Bazin stated the yacht will offer "unparalleled service and refined design spaces, reminiscent of the golden age of mythical cruises."

Accor plans to launch an Orient Express superyacht division, with reservations set to go live next year. The three-masted Orient Express Silenseas, which is expected to launch with routes traversing the Mediterranean and Caribbean, is claimed to be the world's largest sailing superyacht. The company's founder, Georges Nagelmackers, was inspired by luxurious ocean liners in the 1800s to create an ultra-luxurious train experience with the 1883 launch of the Orient Express rail service. With 54 suites able to accommodate a total of 120 passengers, the Silenseas superyacht would be a more intimate vessel than Ritz-Carlton's 298-passenger Evrima superyacht, and rates are expected to be more expensive.

Accor plans to launch the Orient Express Silenseas, a 722-foot superyacht, in spring 2026, with rates expected to be more expensive than Ritz-Carlton's Evrima superyacht. Suites on the Silenseas will average 750 square feet, and six suites on the top deck can be combined to form a 15,230-square-foot presidential suite with a private terrace. The superyacht will feature two swimming pools, two restaurants, a recording studio, an oyster bar and speakeasy, a cabaret and a spa. French architect Maxime d’Angeac, who is overseeing the interior design of the superyacht, promises detailed buildouts and service. Accor plans to make the Orient Express superyacht a more sustainable option, relying on a hybrid propulsion system primarily utilizing wind energy and an engine running on liquefied natural gas. Accor also plans to debut a second superyacht in 2027.
