Behold the Majesty of the Cosmos: Princess Cruises Unveils Adventurer to Witness the Celestial Spectacle of the 2024 Total Eclipse

Princess Cruises has announced that it will modify the itinerary of the Emerald Princess in April 2024 to offer guests a unique opportunity to witness a complete solar eclipse at sea while sailing the Mexican Riviera. The total solar eclipse, which will last up to 4 minutes 28 seconds, will be visible across parts of North America on Monday, April 8, 2024, and guests on the Emerald Princess will have one of the best vantage points to experience this rare phenomenon. This event is one of the three remaining worldwide this decade and will be visible from North America until 2044.

Princess Cruises has made changes to its 15-day ocean-to-ocean Panama Canal cruise aboard the Emerald Princess to accommodate the solar eclipse event. The ship will sail from Los Angeles on April 5, 2024, and visit destinations such as Ft. Lauderdale, the Mexican Riviera, the Panama Canal, San Juan del Sur Costa Rica, Cartagena, and Grand Cayman. During the voyage, guests will catch the total solar eclipse on April 8 between Cabo San Lucas and Huatulco, Mexico. Starting rates for this itinerary are $1,699 per person, and guests will be provided with special glasses to safely view the eclipse. The renowned astronomy and space exploration enthusiast, Fred Cink, will be present to guide guests' viewing experience. Additionally, guests will be offered specially-themed drinks and bites during the eclipse event.

John Padgett, the President of Princess Cruises, expressed excitement about this unique event, stating that Princess Cruises is committed to offering authentic and once-in-a-lifetime experiences to its guests.
