6 Activities On Virgin Voyages, that caught me by Surprise!
Virgin Voyages continues to impress me in ways I wasn’t expecting. While some consider it “shock and awe” I would consider it inclusive and refreshing. So here are 6 Activities on Virgin Voyages, that caught me by surprise.
#1 The Sexiest show at sea!
It’s called, Never Sleep Alone…
I won’t give you full spoilers but I will set the tone of this article starting with Dr. Alex Schiller, “The facilitator” who talked about how humans weren’t made to be monogamous. During the show, you are provided masks and then a series of activities to do while wearing the mask.
Think of it as a masquerade.
For Example:
Task #1 - Leave the person you came with and go see someone you think is your type in the room.
Task# 2 - Share with them your dirtiest secrets. What you like, what you’re into, what are your hidden unfulfilled desires.
Listen…whether you’re into 50 shades of grey, whips, and chains excite you, or you’ve always wanted a threesome (I’m not here to judge that). At the end of the day it’s entirely up to you and what you decide to share but the goal is to be your authentic self.
A quote from the site is that “They also call you onstage, give you the chance to kiss strangers, and open your mind (and bed) to new sexual possibilities.”
Please Note* Ideally, you and your partner know how to communicate and my advice would be to not spring this on your partner, but also keep an open mind if your partner brings it up. Either way, prior to the show or cruise please make an effort to establish what all parties involved boundaries are.
For what it’s worth I’ve read reviews that this show actually helps you communicate with your partner better to help fulfill some of those hidden desires you may have.
But remember you’re on vacation… it’s supposed to be fun so try to relax have some fun, but definitely communicate.

#2. The Adults Only Pajama Party
This is more wholesome than you think…at least it was on my sailing. It was really cool wearing pajamas dancing to throwback music. I’ll be honest, I thought it was gonna be a wild lingerie party with very risqué underwear, but truthfully It reminded me of a slumber party or a sleepover. Instead of video games and sugary soda (which they have onboard)… it was Champaign popping and booty twerking. The only thing missing was pizza rolls and dunakroos to be honest!
There’s also a giant dog mascot lol. I’m interested to see how our sailing goes in April when the weather is warmer.
#3 - Secret Events
As you begin to navigate around the ship you’ll notice crew members/sailors that work there that are playing a role. Some are dancers, gamers, and even officiants! If you engage with these certain role players you may be invited to some secret events going on the ship.
But for example, we were invited to a wedding. My wife Alyssa and I were given a role to play and to attend that wedding. It’s very impromptu but it’s a great ice break and a cool way to mingle. We also were invited to secret areas (no cameras) or spoilers, but we got a little lost since we were so new to the ship.
#4 - Game Night
Virgin Voyages has a huge game room and arcade. They do a great job putting that area to use. There’s cornhole, shuffleboard, and free arcade with classics like Pac-Man, sunset riders, Mortal Kombat, and much more.
In that game area is a candy store (all included) gummy bears, Twizzlers, and other fun treats … again all included, and theirs an ice cream shop right around the corner … it’s a total vibe I promise.
#5 - Tattoo Parlor
Ironically out of all the things I’ve mentioned this is the one activity I saw the general cruise community talking about the most. Getting a tattoo and piercing. Honestly…I think it’s awesome and I’m happy to say I got my first tattoo by Roland, the Fly in’ Hawaiian from Ink Master. It’s really cool that virgin followed through with that promise and brings celebrity tattoo artists on board to ink you up. Also, the artists are as extremely knowledgeable as they should be and will educate you on what you should and should not get. They actually convinced my wife NOT to get a piercing since we’d be on another cruise shortly after our virgin one. Good looking out guys.
Let’s take a breather for a moment because the next topic isn’t necessarily YouTube friendly and I would consider it rated for Mature audiences only…so if children are present or you’re at work please take a moment to pause the video or be aware of your surrounding because I want to be as transparent and with you as possible while still bringing you to value about your upcoming or potential Virgin Voyages Sailing.
#6 - Sex Toys / Vibrators
This is an activity that’s going to be available to your in your room privately. You can purchase these for $30 or they’re provided to you in your rockstar suites.
There’s also a lubricant, a condom, a ring, and instructions for safety. Honestly, I think it’s refreshing that Virgin is working towards removing the stigma around sex. Helping people communicate their sexual desires, removing judgment and allowing a two-way street of acceptance, and helping others achieve pleasure not just on a cruise but inside of the bedroom too.
