Virgin Voyages Review: 9 Things To Expect on Your Cruise!

I had been waiting to Sail with Virgin Voyages for Years. Ever since they announced the ship I could not wait to sail with them. And after being invited to see the ship being built behind the scenes, watching content from other creators I was really excited!

I thought it was going to be everything I wanted and more but, with the pandemic that ruined everything for everyone, but at last, the day came and cruising came back and Virgin began sailing for the very first time!

However, when reviews started to pop up online I started seeing all sorts of comments and questions all over the internet which made people very concerned.

Will I fit in?

Is virgin voyages a good cruise line?

Is this a sex-filled swingers cruise?

Is it a nude cruise where people tan topless and walk around their naughty bits out?

Is it this crazy nonstop party with Tabletop dancing? Champagne shake-offs...well there is a lot of champagne and you can dance on some tables…

BUT, Here’s Why Virgin Voyages Wasn't What I Expected.

BUT in this article wanted to share with you some of their imperfections and provide some feedback so you know what to expect on your Virgin Cruise…just to give you a heads up.

Nobody’s perfect, I’m not perfect, …and despite Virgin Voyages winning Best New Ship According to Cruise Critic, they’re not perfect either and prior to this cruise, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But I’m also going to share some things I really loved.

#1 - Dining

Virgin Voyages has incredible dining and to pretend that they don’t have exceptional food options is a complete fallacy. While food is subject to opinion, there are some things I noticed that made it stand out from other cruise lines.

There Vegan/Vegetarian Menu ranks the best in my opinion. From vegan hamburgers to mushroom tartare, and vegan ice cream, it’s perfect for me since I’m lactose sensitive… and to have a restaurant completely dedicated to vegans and vegetarians really is noteworthy in my opinion.  The Food Hall is incredible offering French toast breakfast sandwiches, and bento boxes. Gun bae is fantastic, it’s Korean BBQ and they have drinking games… it’s freaking great tbh.

#2: The Dock

At The Aft of the ship is a total vibe. We were sitting outside watching the wake and servers would bring fresh tapas while lounging around. I felt like a king… freshly grilled octopus, fried polenta, a menu dedicated to Mediterranean cuisines it was incredible … great drinks… you gotta try it.

#3: The Pool Show At Night or Scarlet Night, do not miss this party.

There’s a point where you can dance in the pool with their performers. It’s so fun. The music is great and it’s really immersive. You don’t have to dance, but I’m a pretty going guy as you can imagine so I got on the dance floor to twerk for some cash. Subscribe to my only fans let’s go.

#4: Free Wifi
Guys, you don’t understand how good it feels to have free Wi-Fi on a cruise ship. I don’t understand why other cruise ships charge for wifi. It’s great to unplug and be disconnected but it’s also great to have some form of communication back at home…Just take a look at Crystal Cruises right now…it’d be nice to let your friends and family know your cruise dropped you off in The Bahamas and you are essentially stuck there… anyways If you book a hotel anywhere in 2022 and beyond they don’t charge for wifi it’s almost unheard of. So big props to Virgin!

Because I’m filming and editing a lot at home… A great form of relaxation and self-care for me is laying down in a soft bed, watching TV, and playing on my phone. It really allows me to reset. Being able to Watch Virgin’s extremely diverse movie collection, hopping on Tik Tok, and dozing off felt great…Also Being able to share stories and photos with my friends and family for free is so cool.

#5: Music, freaking absolute fire.

With virgin voyages being connected to music it was refreshing to hear all the different sounds throughout the ship. They played Dua Lipa, Elton Jon, Chainsmokers, and Even different genres like country Blake Shelton, Kane Brown, and Taylor Swift a lot of good music… even some nods to reggae music that you’d hear on a regular ship.

#6: Sail Away Parties Pop Up.

Yes, free drinks and pop-up bars.

#7: Secret Parties

As you begin to navigate around the ship you’ll notice crew members/sailors that work there that are playing a role. Some are dancers, gamers, and even officiants! If you engage with these certain role players you may be invited to some secret events going on the ship.

But for example, we were invited to a wedding. My wife Alyssa and I were given a role to play and to attend that wedding. It’s very impromptu but it’s a great ice break and a cool way to mingle. We also were invited to secret areas (no cameras) or spoilers, but we got a little lost since we were so new to the ship.

#8: Small Pool

The pool, it’s small…I’m not naive it’s a little tiny. Every creator has talked about it. However, I see why the pool is set up the way it is…there’s an amazing water show and live event at the pool that’s really freaking cool.

#9 The Pajama Party

This is more wholesome than you think…at least it was on my sailing. It was really cool wearing pajamas dancing to throwback music. I’ll be honest, I thought it was gonna be a wild lingerie party with very risqué underwear, but truthfully It reminded me of a slumber party or a sleepover. Instead of video games and sugary soda (which they have onboard)… it was Champaign popping and booty twerking. The only thing missing was pizza rolls and dunakroos to be honest!

There’s also a giant dog mascot lol. I’m interested to see how our sailing goes in April when the weather is warmer.
